The cabin is nestled in nature to provide an escape from the everyday. It is a place to switch off and live simply, providing only the bare necessities for isolated habitation.
The relationship between occupants and the surrounding landscape is mediated through openings in all directions. Large gable end windows offer a differing outlooks. The harmonious timber interior acts as a backdrop to facilitate focus towards the slower pace of life outside.
Though modest in size, the layout ensures comfort by providing a series of spaces, for sleeping, living and utility. All components have been considered for their reuse or recyclability at end of life.
